On 8th October 2026, the national inauguration of JOSH (Joint Squad for Health) was held by the Union Ministry of Health & Family Welfare at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, under the TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan.
MLA Tarunjyoti Tewari attended the programme at the District Magistrate's Office, North 24 Parganas, as part of this nationwide initiative.
JOSH brings together Class-I Officers, MY Bharat Volunteers and NCC Cadets, combining administrative leadership with the energy and commitment of our youth to strengthen grassroots healthcare awareness.
The mission is clear: to spread awareness, encourage early diagnosis, ensure treatment completion, dispel myths and eliminate the social stigma associated with tuberculosis.
Fighting TB is not merely a medical challenge; it is a collective social responsibility. Awareness can save lives, timely treatment can restore hope, and compassion can restore dignity.
A TB-Free India cannot be achieved by the healthcare system alone. It requires the participation of every citizen.
Let us turn youthful energy into community action and collective determination into a healthier tomorrow.
Together, we can make TB Mukt Bharat a reality!
JOSH for Health, JOSH for Humanity, JOSH for TB Mukt Bharat!
